How long can I use a disposable email address?
Each new address starts with a 3-hour lifetime by default, with a live countdown displayed on the page. You can extend it while waiting for messages, but a disposable inbox lasts no more than 24 hours in total.
Will refreshing the page change my email address?
No. As long as the current address has not expired, Temp2U restores the same address and inbox on your device. A new address is created only when the current one expires or you choose to replace it.
Can I use a disposable email to recover an important account?
We don't recommend it. Once the address expires, it cannot serve as a long-term recovery method. Use a long-term email address or a forwarding alias you control for payments, work, subscriptions, and important accounts.
Will a disposable inbox keep attachments?
Disposable inboxes do not retain attachments, and messages larger than 100 MB are rejected. If you need to receive attachments over time, use an email forwarding alias and review its attachment retention limits.
Why haven't I received my verification code?
First, make sure the address entered on the sign-up page matches the one in the tool, then refresh the inbox manually. The sender may be delayed or may block disposable email addresses. Avoid requesting codes repeatedly in quick succession.
What's the difference between disposable email and email forwarding aliases?
Disposable email requires no login, receives messages immediately for a short time, and expires automatically. A forwarding alias requires verification of your real email, is designed for long-term use, and provides pause, deletion, and 30-day archive controls.
